Honouring Emotions (Poem)

Wounds heal when faced
Pain lessons when embraced
Enter the dark cave where your emotions fester
Find the wild animal within that seeks your love’s shelter
Hold your inner child and listen to their cries
Find the parts of you you thought had died
Have the courage to meet your unbearable pain
And emotions you fear if felt would bring you close to insane
Let rip and roar the unmet rage
Let free the lock that pins your cage
And in the heart of your deepest most sorrowful ache
Open to the love that wants to enter your space
Let come the light and love and grace
Of the Goddess’ embrace.
