Sanctuary
Let me come to you and rest
When the harshness of the world grates against my chest
When challenges seem too unbearable a test
When life is overwhelming and the noise too loud
I seek for peace without the blurring of sound
And return to my inner realm
Where my soul can be nourished without ego at the helm
In a place of beauty, a place of sanctity
A sheltered space within me
An inner garden of tranquillity
That heals and restores me
As I find space to breathe
Lying on the grass, looking up at the trees
Remembering what matters most; my heart’s priorities
