Sanctuary

Sanctuary—
Let me come to you and rest
When the harshness of the world grates against my chest,
When challenges seem too unbearable a test,
When life is overwhelming and the noise too loud,
I seek peace without the blurring of sound
And return to my inner realm,
Where my soul can be nourished without ego at the helm—
In a place of beauty, a place of sanctity,
A sheltered space within me;
An inner garden of tranquillity
That heals and restores me
As I find space to breathe,
Lying on the grass, looking up at the trees,
Remembering what matters most: my heart’s priorities.
